Obstacle, one of the eight tests of RAK Robot Games

Obstacle

A course built to punish machines tuned for flat floors.

What this
test measures.

Obstacle tests balance, recovery and terrain handling. Ramps, steps, loose surfaces and gaps appear in sequence, and a machine has to keep moving through all of them.

How it works

  • A single course with a published obstacle sequence.
  • Timed runs with penalties for assisted recovery.
  • Falls are permitted; machines must recover unaided.
  • Course elements may be reordered between rounds.
