Test 02/Strategy
Football
The most legible contest in the Games: machines against machines, on a pitch.
01/The test
What this
test measures.
Football tests perception, teamwork and decision-making under pressure. Robots must read a moving game, choose an action and commit to it faster than the other side.
How it works
- Teams field a fixed number of machines per side.
- Matches run in timed halves with a neutral restart procedure.
- On-board perception only — no external tracking systems.
- Officials may stop play for safety at any moment.
